Living independently, as we age, can require more assistance and help.
Hello I am Veronica of The Organisers, based in Omokoroa and I have been helping out seniors in the Omokoroa Community since 2022. I have lived in the community since 2014 and have held trusted positions (School Trustee) and have always enjoyed volunteering (Community Garden, The Centre Trust, Food Drive, running Cyberlink’s Whats On).
These are just some of the areas I can offer you assistance with in and around Omokoroa.
Technology
Operating technology, smart telephones, ipads, computer, internet tasks and email. It’s frustrating when things stop working as expected, lets overcome that problem and get you moving again. I can home visit to sort out simple technology issues. We have all tried to help a parent over the telephone and know it could easily be solved if we could just pop in. Happy to help, however small.
Organising Paperwork
Lots of paperwork can end up feeling like things are out of control. Simplifying what is being kept. Going through bundles of paper is a service which really helps people to feel back in control. Creating a system which will keep things tidy for the long term.
Honouring Mementos
We keep stuff as its important and brings us joy. And then at some point things can get out of control and it becomes all too much. Let’s sensitively work through these items, share the stories with me and we can start to pick out the important ones to honour.
